The colon is around 4 to 6 feet long (about 1.2 to 1.8 meters) in adults.

The colon starts at the cecum (the beginning of the large intestine, where the small intestine connects) and extends to the rectum, where it joins the anus.

The colon plays a vital role in keeping us healthy.

It is also the gateway to sickness if we don’t keep an eye on our colon health.

The colon’s main task is to soak up water and electrolytes from undigested food, condensing waste into feces, and aiding in the body’s process of eliminating waste during bowel movements.

    • The colon, also known as the large intestine, is part of the digestive system.
    • It is situated at the end of the digestive tract and extends from the cecum (the beginning of the large intestine) to the rectum.

  • 1-2 inches Ginger Root
  • 1 whole Lemon or Lime peeled and cut in half
  • 1/2 Green Apple
  • 1 bunch Cilantro Alternate greens like Romaine Lettuce and Parsley

  • 4-5 stalks Celery

Instructions
 

  • Make sure all ingredients are Organic. Clean Produce well.
  • Chop so that all produce fits into the juicer.
  • Juice by alternating cucumber with other ingredients so it flows easily.

If you want a colon cleanse recipe to work as a natural colon cleanse or colon flush but don’t have a juicer we have a powerful colon cleanse recipe below.

Lemon Ginger Colon Cleanse Drink
Ingredients:

1 tablespoon freshly grated ginger
1 teaspoon organic raw honey (if diabetic omit it for stevia)
1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice (approximately half a lemon)
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (adjust to taste)
1-2 cups warm filtered water
Instructions:

Prepare the Ginger: Peel and grate a small piece of fresh ginger root to extract 1 tablespoon of grated ginger.

Mix Ingredients: In a glass, combine the grated ginger, raw honey, fresh lemon juice, ground cinnamon, and cayenne pepper.

Add Warm Purified Water: Pour warm (not boiling) filtered water over the mixture. Make sure the water is comfortably warm to preserve the beneficial properties of the ingredients.
