Tonight this amazing soup came to life. Here is a simple recipe for hemp and nettle soup. Feel free to swap out the grass fed bone broth for vegetable broth or a tea base of your choosing.
3 cups fresh nettles
2 cups kale steamed
5 cups of bone broth
4 tbs hemp seeds
Fresh Turmeric Root (LOTS)
1 Avocado (reserve half for garnish)
2 tbs Premier Labs Nutritional Yeast
1/4 of a small og red bell pepper
the juice of one fresh squeezed lemon
2 to 3 cloves of garlic
Liberal amount of Premier Mediterranean Salt
1/2 cup fresh og parsley
So first warm the broth or if you are making from scratch, this will take atleast 24 hours. I can get grass fed broth at my local store. I simmer it and add 3 cloves of garlic (try black fermented garlic sometime) and the destemmed cleaned nettles. I let this warm on the stove for a 40 minutes or an hour.
In a blender add fresh peeled turmeric root, half a large avocado, parsley, lemon juice, bell pepper, nutritional yeast and salt as you like to taste. Add the broth to the blender. Blend well until rich and creamy.
Chop the kale and clean well, steam it just until tender and deep green. Add the chopped steamed kale to two serving bowls. Then add the other half of the avocado to each bowl.
Top with the soup mix in blender and add a liberal amount of hemp seeds. Enjoy this blood building tonic that is associated with the planet Mars and the water element. A potent diuretic and life giving soup full of cannabinoids, minerals and plant based iron.
