Equipment

Ingredients
  

  • 4-6 Beets cleaned, peeled and tails removed chop or cube beets
  • 1-3 pieces ginger root chopped (more if you want it spicy) chopped or sliced fresh ginger root
  • 2 whole lemon rinds adds nutrition to the tonic and flavor
  • 2 tsp sea salt
  • 1 vegetable culture starter optional but this helps amplify the good bacteria
  • 2-3 cloves garlic Extremely good for arterial health
  • 1 habanero pepper chopped If you don't like it too spicy you can omit this and just add a small amount of cayenne pepper to taste upon serving but this is helpful for cleansing arteries.
  • 1-3 pieces fresh turmeric root chopped or sliced or powder could work as a subsitute

Instructions
 

  • Be sure you start with a sterile wide mouth mason jar. I like to use a 2 quart jar because you will need ample room (about half the jar) open to allow it to ferment. Do not fill all the way to the top.
  • Clean, peel and chop the ingredients and prepare the lemon rind.
  • Add to the mason jar with the sea salt.
  • Combine veggie starter and purified water to half fill the jar. Be sure to mix the veggies starter a bit to dissolve. The water can be warm to touch to do this.
    Make sure the veggies are covered but you have left enough space for expansion.
  • Cover with tight woven muslin cloth or a coffee filter and a rubber band to hold in place.
  • Keep the tonic at room temperature for 3-4 days. If you see a film on the top throughout simply skim it off.
  • Once your elixir is a bit sour to the taste after a few days you can strain off the ingredients in another sterile jar.
  • Seal it and store in fridge until you are ready to enjoy shots of your artery cleansing drink recipe!

Notes

This eliminates any concern of oxalates from the beets or those with diabetic concerns or insulin issues.
By fermenting the beets we remove these concerns.
Instead we are left with a juice tonic brimming with healthy bacteria which is crucial for anyone that wants healthy arteries.
Our issues begin with gut imbalances typically.
The healthy bacteria in this amplifies all the benefits of the ingredients as they proliferate and magnify the medicine of natures pantry.
What if you have no concern with sugar from beets or oxalates? You could juice these ingredients and drink that as your artery cleansing drink instead.
I would leave out the garlic and take a garlic capsule supplement such as a potent black fermented garlic.  This way you avoid the drink being overpowered with garlic.
