The Zen Master Mocktail: Tart Cherry Mocktails Recipe

Quite literally, this recipe is the Monk's Lullaby.
Tart cherry mocktails are the perfect nightcap. Tart cherries are naturally rich in melatonin, essential for regulating sleep; these small fruits are a staple in my evening regimen.
Melatonin acts as a master antioxidant as well.
I advocate adding a hint of tart cherry juice to nighttime mocktails for those yearning for deeper, more rejuvenating sleep. Or if you want to get your dose of melatonin naturally.
Melatonin begins to decline with age. Our sleep environment plays a crucial role as well. Make sure it is dark and free of light.
Wear an eye mask to ensure a melatonin-rich night of sleep.
It's quite remarkable how tart cherries, humble yet potent, can gently lead one to a peaceful state of rest, significantly enhancing sleep quality and duration.

  • 1 lime freshly squeezed lime juice
  • 2 tbs frozen organic tart cherries
  • 8 ounces mountain sparkling spring water
  • 2 ounces coconut water kefir optional but adds probiotics for enhanced health and restful nights sleep.
  • 1-2 tbs Tart Cherry Juice concentrate Depending on how strong you prefer.
  • 1 cup Ice

Instructions
 

  • To your favorite mockktail glass add your favorite mocktail glass add the cherries and fresh squeezed lime juice.
    Begin to muddle the cherries.
    Add in the tart cherry juice and muddle until well combined.
  • Add in the ice and sparkling water.
  • You can add in a few tart cherries to float on top of the ice or add in a sprig of rosemary or your favorite herb such as cilantro or mint.
